Homemade Chocolate Pudding

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! šŸ˜‰



  • 500 ml cream (15% fat)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 150 g chocolate (60-70 % cocoa)
  • 2 eggs + 2 egg yolks
  • 100 g sugar



Heat up the oven to 150Ā°C. Put cream, milk, the mark of a vanilla bean and chocolate in a pan. Heat up and keep stirring until the mixture is boiling. Let it boil for a moment and take it off the stove.

Separately mix eggs, egg yolks and sugar. Little by little add the chocolate-cream mixture to the eggs and sugar. Pour the prepared pudding through a sieve into small ovenware jars or pans (250 ml).

Transfer the prepared jars to a water bath. Prepare the water bath by taking a deep baking tray and making it half-full with boiling water.

Put the tray with puddings into the oven and cook for 60-70 minutes. Then take the puddings out from the water bath, let them at room temperature for 15 minutes and serve while still warm.
